Project Overview

This project was initiated by Forest Watch Indonesia to visualize data on deforestation in Papua through an interactive map. The goal was to highlight regions in Papua's forests that are suffering from deforestation, providing a clear and impactful way to present this critical information.

My Role

I worked as a Frontend Developer responsible for building the map visualization and integrating the necessary features to deliver a seamless user experience.

Key Challenges

• Learning MapLibre: Gaining expertise in MapLibre for creating and customizing the map visualization.
• Researching Walkthrough Features: Exploring libraries for guided user tours and implementing the react-walkthrough library for an intuitive user onboarding experience.
